OUR MISSION:

To provide encouragement, insight and biblical guidance to individuals during times of crisis, change or personal and family difficulties, by helping people find biblically based solutions to their problems. The ultimate goal of the ministry is to help persons to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ that fulfills their deepest needs and desires.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17 “ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS: THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE PERFECT, THOROUGHLY FURNISHED UNTO ALL GOOD WORKS.”

OUR VISION:

To setup a Christ-Centered Soul Care ministry for the community that offers life-changing spiritual direction through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

LIBERTY USES UNLICENSED LAY MINISTERS AND MAKES THE FOLLOWING LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS:
  1. The lay ministers are engaged solely in spiritual ministry based on their understanding of the Bible, and they are not engaged in the practice of psychology, professional counseling, or psychotherapy.
  2. State law may require a lay minister to report allegations of child abuse to civil authorities.
  3. Statements made in confidence to a lay minister in the course of ministry ordinarily are privileged, meaning that neither the person seeking help nor the lay minister can be compelled to disclose in a court of law any statements made in the course of the ministry. However, the presence of a third party during a ministry session may jeopardize the privilege, since the ministry may no longer be considered confidential. To illustrate, statements made in the course of ministry may not be privileged if a person seeking help brings a friend along to the ministry session.
  4. Any statements made in confidence in the course of a ministry session will be kept in strict confidence by the lay minister. As noted above, the duty to maintain confidences may not apply in the context of child abuse. Further, the lay minister reserves the right to disclose confidential information in specified situations (such as threats of suicide, an intent to harm another person, or confessions of criminal activities). Lay ministers clearly understand their responsibilities and will immediately refer crisis cases to a designated licensed mental health professional or the appropriate authorities.

Liberty Church considers personal ministry to be essential to the growth of each Christian. LIBERTY COUNSELING MINISTRY has been developed to assist our pastoral team in providing care for our adult church congregation. We offer one-on-one biblical counseling, men counseling men, women counseling women. There are also occasions where couples will minister to men or women individually.

We provide a safe environment where you can experience God’s love, healing, and hope. In this environment, you will also learn biblically-based solutions that will support you in your growth in becoming a highly effective Christian. In the church we believe every individual has been given spiritual gifts for the purpose of ministering to one another. In fact, the Bible teaches that Christians are best qualified to come alongside one another because they understand the will of God as taught in scripture and are able to apply scripture rightly to life.
